THE CORAL CASTLE
The Coral Castle originally called "Rock Gate Park", was built by one man, working alone. It
took him 20 years to build - from 1920 to 1940. His name is Edward Leedskalnin. Ed was born in
Latvia in 1887 and died in Miami in 1951. What exactly was the source of inspiration that drove
this man for 28 years to carve a coral castle from ground using nothing but home made tools
from junk parts. Unrequited love? Ancient sciences that defy gravity, or just sheer, raw human
determination? You have to see it to believe it!
